A Unique Duplex Closing in Charlotte's LoSo Neighborhood: Helping Lifelong Friends Become Next-Door Neighbors

Some real estate transactions are memorable because of the property. Others are memorable because of the people. This recent closing had both.
At Vantage Realty Pros, one of the most rewarding parts of our business is helping clients who continue to trust us through multiple real estate transactions. This latest closing was especially meaningful because it involved friends we've known for more than two decades.

We first met in college at Pfeiffer University, where they played on the women's soccer team while I played on the men's team. Since then, we've helped both of them buy and sell several homes over the years. As twins raising their families, they recently decided they wanted to relocate from Rhode Island and be closer to Uptown Charlotte while living side by side.
Their search led them to an incredible opportunity in Charlotte's rapidly growing LoSo (Lower South End) neighborhood—a newly constructed duplex with both sides available for purchase.

Interestingly, they were actually the ones who discovered the property and reached out to us for advice. After reviewing the opportunity together, we knew it was a great fit. The challenge was putting the deal together.
Over the course of several weeks, we worked closely with the builder through multiple rounds of negotiations. Like many new construction home purchases in Charlotte, patience and persistence were key. We focused on finding common ground so that everyone involved could feel confident moving forward.

In the end, we successfully negotiated an agreement that allowed both families to purchase the duplex and begin the next chapter of their lives as neighbors.
